Welcome to our discussion.

This is a first stab for me. I hope to find people with interesting stories and eventually get some companies to look at the insanity of their management policies. Eventually together we may find directors with spine enough to sign us up as the Next Presidents.

A FEW QUESTION?

Good Morning:
My wife thought the title for my blog was too restrictive. She started one over a year ago and has posted ever day with few exceptions.
I have no Idea if she is right or not.
Onward: Watching ads on TV there is one group of adds run by our local legal beagles that leaves me with some questions.
The usally start out "Social Security Benefits are hard to get......." "As a former Social Security Judge I have decided over 5,000 cases..........."
Social Security Disability is a great business for lawyers, why? You are permanently injured and cannot work. Head down to your Social Security Office and most likely you will be denied. In my town you will then be contacted by all three law firms that advertize that their only business is helping you with your disability claim. How did they get your name? Do you think they have a contact at the Social Security office who feeds out names numbers and addresses of the disabled?
On TV one of the firms shows a picture of forty or more employees that they have.
This system is set up to help people at their greatest time of need. Why can't Social Security decide cases fairley with out a cadre of lawyers being involved?
We have a similar racket in our state involving traffic tickets. You are facing a fine and points on your license. One of our legal groups has a number of offices through out the state doing nothing but fixing tickets. They have billboards along the major roads in the state. You can have five DUI's and still be on the road if you are willing to pay the lawyer. Are the judges and prosecuters, and lawyers all complicit in this scheme that keeps unsafe drivers on the road and our insurance premiums high?
We are the only developed country in the world that does not have universal health care. The burden of the insurance companies selling policies is enough to add a big layer of cost. Each company with there own forms and cost structure. Each hospital and doctor with a different set of forms, and often you can get your health records moved from providor to provider buy why can't we carry a card with a chip on it that has all of our records.
What does this have to do with the Next President blog. Just a couple of examples where we let a system control us and bleed us. There are plenty of companies that have systems in place that have been there for years only because."We have always done it that way and >>>>"
